Once you get to the hotel, you may take advantage of the opportunity to rest and unwind while enjoying some free time. In Bentota, you will spend the night.

Day 2 – Madhu River Boat Ride/Turtle Hatchery Farm/Water Sports

On day two, you will be loitering around Bentota. The area closest to the vast rice fields and the historic Hindu temple known as the “Katukoliha temple” is the best spot to go cycling. While traveling, you will pass through the turquoise Dedduwa Lake and the exquisite murals painted on the Mullegoda Temple’s walls. It is without a doubt one of the best things to do in Bentota. You may also go to Bentota Beach, which has a lot of serene and lovely beaches. Bentota Beach, one of them, offers guests a warm welcome with its swinging coconut trees and wonderful surroundings. Without a doubt, it is the ideal site for nature lovers to enjoy relaxing water sports such as:

  • Learn to Water Ski: Take pleasure in the sensation of the water beneath your feet and the wind in your hair. This beach is the perfect spot for a trip to go water skiing without taking any risks. The gorgeous water expanses become an addiction for adrenaline junkies because of the lack of significant stones and the challenging terrain. If you enjoy water sports, this is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate your skills in a relaxed and secure setting. Don’t worry if this is your first trip; the support personnel will guide and watch over the visitors to provide a fun and secure experience.
  • Snorkeling and Diving: No matter how experienced you are, Bentota will provide you with a fantastic diving experience. Try swimming among the abundance of underwater seaweed or take a dip in the gorgeously warm Indian Ocean, which is home to tropical fish and beautiful coral reefs. Everyone should make the most of their opportunities.
  • Banana Boat & Tube Rides: As their names suggest, banana boats and tube rides are tubes that are rope-attached to a speed boat and have a banana-like shape. The journey should be exciting, complete with enormous waves that break over your head. Bentota visitors have the choice of single-ring rides or couch rides, both of which are appropriate for visitors of any age.
  • Windsurfing: Bentota is the location to visit if you wish to windsurf in crystal-clear water. Windsurfing is not possible everywhere. The entire year has the ideal environment there. Visitors have the option of renting equipment or bringing their own. Bentota’s personalized lessons and coaching are available to those who want to learn about or attempt windsurfing.

More water activities are available for your enjoyment. At Galle, our next stop, we’ll tour the renowned Galle Fort, which is located on Galle Cove. The Portuguese built it in 1588, and the Dutch renovated it starting in 1649. It still emanates elegance and is today recognized as a major piece of architectural history despite being more than 432 years old. Our next trip will be to the Sea Turtle Hatchery Farm in Galle, which aims to increase the baby turtles’ robustness. You’ll be given a tour of the place by a guide that starts at the entrance. You might take a boat tour on the lovely Madu River close to Balapitiya town the next evening. The neighboring creek creates a number of islands, and the area’s biological system also results in a gorgeous wetland. It is the conclusion of the day, so you will be transported back to the hotel for the night.

Day 3 – Colombo to Airport Drop Off

On the third day, you’ll go to Colombo to see the city before your flight out of Sri Lanka. We will first visit Gangaramaya Temple after breakfast. The Gangaramaya Temple, one of Colombo’s most important temples, mixes traditional and contemporary design features. It is located on the Beira Lake and was completed in the late 19th century. In the heart of Colombo, Sri Lanka, is where you can find the Beira Lake. It used to encompass a little more than 1.65 km2 (0.64 sq mi) of land, but because of various circumstances, it has subsequently shrunk to just 0.65 km2 (0.25 sq mi) now. The lake fulfilled a number of functions during the Portuguese, Dutch, and English colonial periods. It continues to go by its Portuguese name. It is connected to a variety of complicated canals, which facilitate moving products easily around the city and suburbs.

After that, we’ll head for the Galle Face. Galle Face is a 500 m (1,600 ft) long urban park in the center of Colombo that covers 5 hectares (12 acres). Despite the fact that the ancient Galle Face Green encompassed a far bigger area than what is now visible, Governor Sir Henry George Ward created the promenade in 1859. The Independence Memorial Hall, also known as the Independence Commemoration Hall, is a national memorial in Sri Lanka that was built to honor the day on February 4, 1948, when a Ceylonese-elected legislature reclaimed total authority of the nation. It is located in Colombo’s Cinnamon Gardens near Independence Square, often referred to as Torrington Square. They also hold the Independence Memorial Museum. The Old Colombo Dutch Hospital, commonly referred to as The Dutch Hospital, was constructed in Sri Lanka during the Dutch colonial era and is said to be the oldest structure in the Colombo Fort neighborhood. It is a historical structure that is now a retail and dining destination. You may get some food and buy souvenirs here. Your voyage with Lanka Budget Tours is now over, and, in accordance with your wishes, your respectful guide will drop you off at the airport or in Colombo.
