Day 1 – Arrival and booking into a hotel in Bentota

You will be met and welcomed by a representative of LANKA BUDGET TOURS at the airport, and you will then board your car to go to Bentota. But we will first visit Gangaramaya Temple. One of Colombo’s most significant temples, the Gangaramaya Temple, combines traditional and modern architectural elements. It was finished in the late 19th century and is situated on the Beira Lake. The Beira Lake is located in the center of Colombo, Sri Lanka. It formerly covered a little over 1.65 km2 (0.64 sq mi) of land, but due to a number of factors, it has since been reduced to just 0.65 km2 (0.25 sq mi). Throughout the Portuguese, Dutch, and English colonial periods, the lake served a variety of purposes. It keeps using its Portuguese name. It is connected to a number of intricate canals that make transporting goods across the city and suburbs straightforward.

Then we’ll move in the direction of the Galle Face. Galle Face is a 500 m (1,600 ft) long urban park that spans 5 hectares (12 acres) in the heart of Colombo. Governor Sir Henry George Ward initially designed the promenade in 1859, despite the fact that the original Galle Face Green covered a far larger area than what is currently seen. The Old Colombo Dutch Hospital, also known as The Dutch Hospital, is said to be the oldest building in the Colombo Fort district and was built during the Dutch colonial era in Sri Lanka. It is a historic building that is used as a culinary and shopping center nowadays. Then we will head straight to Bentota.

Day 2 – Yala

For your safari trip on day eleven, we will go to Yala, the country’s second-largest national park and one that is flanked by the Indian Ocean. The public has access to just two of the park’s five blocks, Ruhunu and Kumana national parks. Yala was established as an animal sanctuary around 1900. After the safari, you will be taken to the hotel back in Bentota for supper and a night’s stay.

Day 3 – Visit to Madhu River

On day three, you may tour the lovely town of Bentota. The greatest place to cycle is near the enormous rice fields and the ancient Hindu temple known as the “Katukoliha temple.” You will pass through the turquoise Dedduwa Lake and the magnificent paintings painted on the walls of the Mullegoda Temple while journeying. Unquestionably, it is among the top things to do in Bentota. You may also visit Bentota Beach, which offers a multitude of tranquil and beautiful beaches. One of them, Bentota Beach, welcomes visitors with swaying coconut trees and lovely surroundings. It is without a doubt the best location for nature enthusiasts to engage in leisurely water activities like:

  • Learn to water ski: Enjoy the feeling of the wind in your hair and the water beneath your feet. The ideal location for risk-free sea skiing excursions is this beach. Due to the lack of big boulders and the difficult terrain, the stunning water expanses become an addiction for adrenaline addicts. If you appreciate water sports, this is the ideal chance to show off your abilities in a laid-back and safe environment. If this is your first trip, don’t worry; the support staff will instruct and oversee the guests to provide an enjoyable and safe experience.
  • Snorkeling and Diving: No matter your level of experience, Bentota will provide you with a wonderful diving adventure. Swim in the delightfully warm Indian Ocean with tropical fish and stunning coral reefs, or try to swim through the profusion of underwater seaweed. Anyone who has the opportunity should use it.
  • Banana Boat & Tube Rides: Banana tubes are, as their name indicates, tubes that are rope-attached to a speed boat and look like bananas. The trip promises to be thrilling, replete with huge waves that break over your head. Visitors to Bentota have the option of single-ring rides or sofa rides, both of which are suitable for people of any age.
  • Windsurfing: If you want to windsurf on pristine water, Bentota is the place to go. You can’t windsurf just anywhere. It has the optimum climate throughout the entire year. Visitors can either bring their own equipment or rent it. Travelers interested in learning about or trying windsurfing may do so with the help of Bentota’s instruction and private sessions.

There are many more water sports you can enjoy. Our next stop will be Galle, where we’ll see the famous Galle Fort, which is situated on Galle Cove. It was constructed by the Portuguese in 1588, and beginning in 1649, the Dutch improved it. Despite being over 432 years old, it nevertheless exudes elegance and is now regarded as a significant piece of architectural history. The See Turtle Hatchery Farm in Galle, which tries to improve the toughness of juvenile turtles, will be our next stop. An advisor will lead you on a tour of the establishment, beginning at the front door. The next evening, you may enjoy a boat trip on the picturesque Madu River near Balapitiya town. Numerous islands are created by the nearby stream, and a stunning wetland is also produced by the area’s biological system. You will be driven back to the hotel for the night because it is the end of the day.
